FM heads for New York to lead Egypt’s delegation to UNSC session

Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry left Egypt on Monday 9/5/2016 for New York to lead Egypt's delegation to a UN Security Council session on the occasion of Egypt's presidency of the current session.
Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid said Shourky's three-day visit to the UN will include meetings with foreign ministers and UN officials.
Abu Zeid said the Egyptian top diplomat will preside over a ministerial session on fighting the ideological discourse of terrorist organizations. The session will be attended by the foreign ministers of UN member states.
He will also meet with the foreign ministers of Hungary, the Netherlands, Argentina, Norway and New Zealand and the UNGA president.
The Egyptian top diplomat will also meet with the Arab group at the UN to discuss Arab issues on the UNSC agenda.
Shoukry will be interviewed by news agencies and foreign newspapers and will take part in a ministerial working breakfast called for by Egypt.
