House Speaker: No talk about expression freedom when Egypt at risk

The House of Representatives Speaker Ali Abdel Aal said on Sunday 22/5/2016 there is no place to take about the freedom of expression when the country's higher interests are at risk.
Freedom of speech has limits and does not mean defamation, libel or exposing the higher interests of the nation to danger, Abdel Aal told MPs who object preventing the discussion of the State's monetary policy on media outlets.
Negatively criticizing the country's monetary policy in a critical time is not a kind of freedom of speech, he added.
The Speaker accused "some training centers of inciting MPs to criticize the State's public policy and the House of Representatives to undermine the country's constitutional institutions within a foreign systematic campaign."
