The minister, meanwhile, said that defending the nation and protecting its national security is a sacred mission. The Armed Forces vows to protect the Egyptian people and their security and stability, he affirmed. The minister further hailed the support of chieftains and tribes in Sinai for the Armed Forces.
Sobhi said the Armed Forces have completed upgrading combat preparedness of the last formation in an unprecedented way within a development plan launched by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi three years ago, when he was Egypt's Defense Minister.
President Sisi has a very clear vision on developing the Egyptian Armed Forces and raising its efficiency, starting with raising the individual fighters' efficiency, arming the field armies and equipping them with the most up-to-date weapons and providing the navel and the air forces with the latest equipment.
