Sisi stresses Egypt's keenness on promoting relations with Kenya

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta have underlined the importance of achieving maximum benefit from the River Nile water through joint projects which could achieve benefit for all Nile Basin countries.
President Sisi stressed Egypt's keenness on promoting trade and economic relations with Kenya.
At a press conference with Kenyatta in Nairobi, President Sisi highlighted the historical ties binding the Egyptian and Kenyan peoples.
He added that the two countries seek to realize economic development and prosperity, noting that economic cooperation is vital for attaining these goals.
He added that talks with the Kenyan president focused on means of cementing trade and economic cooperation between both countries for the best interest of both sides.
President Sisi said Egypt seeks boosting trade and investment cooperation between the two countries. He added that the Egyptian and Kenyan governments agreed to take needed measures to encourage trade exchange and establish joint projects.
Sisi underlined that Egypt would spare no effort to promote strategic ties with Kenya in various domains, particularly realizing development, referring to the Egyptian initiative for developing Nile Basin countries.
President Sisi said Egypt is keen on holding continued consultations with Kenya to promote stability, security and peace in Africa.
He added that Egypt is also interested in continued coordination with Kenya regarding regional and international issues of mutual concern.
