Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid said the Libyan file represents a top priority for the Egyptian foreign policy in view of relations and common borders between the two sides.
Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry will head for Tunisia to convene with the top diplomats of Algeria and Tunisia to review the situation in Libya and gear up for a trilateral summit in this respect, Abu Zeid said.
The summit falls within the framework of an initiative proposed by Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi, Abu Zeid told diplomatic reporters.
