6th National Youth Conference

Under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, the 6th National Youth Conference will be held at Cairo University from 28-29 July 2018, entitled "Innovate .. Advance" with the participation of 3000 students from all Egyptian universities and a number of scientists and officials in an open dialogue with youth.
The official Facebook and Twitter pages of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi said university students can ask questions as part of "Ask the President" initiative on July 17 through 24.
The initiative comes within the framework of the preparations for the 6th National Youth Conference, to be held in late July.
The initiative will be different this time as the participants are to be selected among those who posted questions.
President Sisi is set to meet with representatives of all Egyptian universities during the conference.
All questions will be received on www.askthepresident.net, according to the official pages.
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi approved promoting Minister of Defense Lt. General Mohamed Zaki to the rank of Colonel General.
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi took part in a session on the education development strategy. Minister of Education Tarek Shawqi was the main speaker during the session.
Developing the Health Insurance System

National project of the state information database
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi attended a session on the national project of the state information database. The session was attended also by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli, Assistant President for National and Strategic Projects Sherif Ismail, Speaker of the House of Representatives Ali Abdel-Aal and Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority Mohab Mamish. A host of ministers and senior state officials were also present.
“Ask the President" session
An "Ask the President" session started Sunday as part of the sixth national youth conference. President Abdel Fattah El Sisi will, during the session, answer questions posted by citizens over the past days on an official website. About two million persons have visited the website since its launch on July 17 and posted more than 700,000 questions.
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi witnessed the concluding session of the 6th National Youth Conference. The session started with screening a video that underlines the importance of education and scientific research for the country. In the video, a number of youths reviewed their scientific researches in which they also noted that education and scientific research will help the country to reach its aspired development goals.
Honoring a number of distinguished students
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi honored a number of distinguished students in various Egyptian universities during the concluding session of the 6th National Youth Conference. The honored students won the first places at local and international competitions. Some of the honored students created a number of inventions, honored in various countries and participated in several scientific conferences around the world.
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi said he felt proud and hopeful while attending the sixth national youth conference with Egyptian youths in Cairo University. Sisi was speaking during the concluding session of the sixth national youth conference held in Cairo University.
Recommendations of 6th Youth Conference 2018
- Declaring 2019 Egypt’s “year of education”;
- Launching the national project for developing the Egyptian education system;
- Allocating 20 percent of the scholarships in Egypt and abroad for teachers for ten years;
- Establishing a body for approving the vocational education programs to be compatible with the international standards;
- Establishing a training center for the teachers of the vocational education programs to be compatible with the international standards;
- Assigning the cabinet and other bodies concerned to link the researches and plans in the universities with the state’s needs;
- Assigning Egyptian universities to find solutions to problems;
- Assigning the cabinet and the Supreme Council of Universities to develop a comprehensive plan to restore the sports, artistic, and cultural activities to the campuses.
