Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli on Friday 05/10/2018 commended the increase in the number of Egyptian universities included in the table of Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings to 19.

Madbouli underlined the state's great efforts to improve the quality of education services.

He further noted that a number of top-notch universities will be inaugurated in New cities and will provide an excellent all-round education.

Egypt has more than twice as many universities ranked, with 19 included in the table, led by the American University in Cairo (AUC), two new entrants Benha University and Beni-Suef University, and Kafrelsheikh University and Mansoura University, which were all in the 601-800 band.

More than 1,200 of the world’s best higher education institutions, up from just over 1,100 last year, are included in the index, ranked on teaching, research, citation index, income from industry and international outlook.
