Egypt's participation in Khartoum Arab Film Festival

With a distinguished Egyptian participation, Sudanese Vice - President Dr. Osman Mohamed Yousif Kibir inaugurated on Saturday October 20, 2018 the fourth edition of Khartoum Arab Film Festival. The festival is scheduled to run during the period October 20 - 25, 2018.
The festival includes 41 films among them 4 long feature films, 29 short feature films and 8 documentaries, representing nine countries. They are Egypt, Sudan, Iraq, Syria, Morocco, Algeria, Yemen, Tunisia and Palestine, while Egypt has 12 films.
Long Feature Films
A total of three Egyptian movies participated in the Festival:
·"El-Asleyeen" (The Originals) starring Mena Shalaby, Maged el-Kedwany, Khaled el-Sawy.
· "Torab Al-Mas" (Diamond Dust) starring Menna Shalabi, Eyad Nassar and Asser Yassin.
· "Photocopy" starring Mahmoud Hemeida and Sherine Reda.
The Festival honors Egyptian artists
The inaugural ceremony of the Festival, which was held at the Friendship Hall in Khartoum, was attended by the Egyptian Ambassador to Sudan Osama Shaltout, some of Egyptian artists, President of Cinematographers Federation Mossad Fouda and Dr. Mohammed Al-Adl, who gave the honorary presidency of the festival as well as the Sudanese artist Faiza Amsib, where the festival honored them by giving them a trophy of achievement for the festival.
In their speeches, the Egyptian artists thanked the Sudanese leadership, government and people and the festival management for their honoring and hospitality, calling for more support and interest to the Sudanese cinema in order to take the place it deserves.
Egyptian - Sudanese film federations sign a cooperation protocol
On the sidelines of Khartoum Arab Film Festival, Director General of the Festival Mohamed Ibrahim said that the Festival will sign on Sunday October 21, 2018 a protocol of cooperation between the Union of Egyptian and Sudanese filmmakers, headed by Mossad Fouda and Ali Mahdi.
