Egypt seeks enhancing peacekeeping efforts in Africa - Envoy

Egyptian envoy to the United Nations in New York Mohamed Iddris has participated in a UN Security Council session on enhancing peacekeeping operations in Africa.
According to a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry on Tuesday 27/11/2018, Ambassador Iddris reviewed at the session unprecedented challenges facing the peacekeeping operations in Africa.
He confirmed Egypt's commitment to promoting peacekeeping efforts in Africa, according to the statement.
He also underlined the necessity of giving priority to political solutions to African disputes and working to the establishment of peace in African countries, added the statement.
