This phase includes the operation of 30 flights by EgyptAir Express from Sphinx to "Sharm el Sheikh, Hurghada, Luxor and Aswan" International Airports.
The move comes in line with Egypt's Vision 2030 which aims to achieve sustainable economic development and activation of tourism.
The experimental operation of Sphinx International Airport coincides with the celebrations held by the Aviation Ministry and its companies to mark the 89th anniversary of the Egyptian civil aviation day which falls on January 26, said a statement released by the ministry on Saturday 26/01/2019.
The aviation minister made an inspection tour of Sphinx International Airport and got acquainted with the logistic and security potentials of the airport and its future plans to operate more regular flights throughout the year.
Masry asserted that 2019 will witness a leap in the Egyptian civil aviation industry as several new airports will be opened and new planes will join EgyptAir fleet.
