Education Minister Tarek Shawki stressed on Thursday that the ministry is seeking out-of-the-box solutions to high student density in classrooms, especially in densely-populated governorates till necessary funds are provided to address this challenge.
The minister, during a visit to the Upper Egyptian governorate of Sohag to check on several public schools, promised to find a radical solution to this serious problem in the coming two years.
He strongly denied reports that the ministry will force teachers to wear a uniform in Egyptian schools.
In earlier statements, Shawki made clear that the governor of El Wadi El Gadid governorate launched a beautiful initiative concerning a school uniform for teachers and school administrators, to unify their appearance.
Shawki said the ministry has nothing to do with this personal initiative.
