Sisi reiterates Egypt’s commitment to reform & sustainable development

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi reiterated Egypt’s commitment to continuing reform and development efforts in line with the national strategy of sustainable development “Egypt Vision 2030”.
At a dinner banquet held in his honor by the American Chamber of Commerce during his current visit to Washington, he stressed Egypt’s appreciation of its special strategic relationship with the United States and welcome of increasing activities by US companies operating on its soil, presidential spokesman Bassam Radi said.
According to him the banquet, held at the AmCham headquarters in the US capital, was attended by the first deputy president of AmCham and chairman of the U.S.-Egypt Business Council (USEBC) along with heads and senior representatives of major US companies.
He pointed out that the event saw an open dialogue with the representatives of the US business sector who showed interest in doing business in Egypt or expanding their already existing ventures in the Egyptian market.
President Sisi asserted to them keenness on keeping constantly in touch with investors to stand on any problems or obstacles obstructing their work and act on removing all hindrances facing them, Radi said.
He praised the role played by AmCham and the council in supporting economic and trade ties between Egypt and the United States, noting the importance of the role of the private sector as an engine of development through its increased investments and its transfer of know-how and expertise for the benefit of both countries, the spokesman added.
President Sisi underscored the fruitful talks he held with US President Donald Trump at the White House, especially in the economic domain, noting that they focused on means to develop economic cooperation, spur trade exchange and increase the investment activities of US companies in Egypt, along with the progress achieved in implementing Egypt’s economic, legislative and institutional reforms to attract more foreign investments, Radi also said.
He said the guests at the dinner praised the Egyptian reforms and The measures taken by the government to ameliorate the investment climate which made Egypt a successful model to follow when it comes to cooperation with the International Monetary Fund, promising to work during the coming period to increase US investments in Egypt in numerous fields especially health care, energy, technology and tourism.
