Egypt reviews its experience in investment in human capital at WB meetings

Education Minister Tareq Shawqi accentuated the political leadership's interest in investing in human capital in view of its key role in pushing the country forward to join developed countries.
He made the remarks during a session on investing in human capital in the Middle East and North Africa which was also attended by Investment Minister Sahar Nasr, according to a statement by the Education Ministry.
The session was held within the framework of the 2019 Spring Meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund.
The national education program is meant to get students to be more interested in education and innovation in addition to upgrading their characters, he expounded.
Meanwhile, Investment Minister Sahar Nasr considered President Abdel Fattah el Sisi's initiative to invest in human capital as a quantum leap.
She noted that the initiative seeks to hone youths' skills in line with labor market needs.
