Troops from Egypt, Greece and Cyprus started on Monday 15/4/2019 the joint aeronautical exercise, Medusa-8, at the Mediterranean Sea in Egypt.

The drill will last for several days with the aim to boost military cooperation among the three countries.

Main units taking part in the exercise include the Egyptian Navy helicopter carrier ENS Anwar El Sadat, Type 209 submarine and a number of F-16 jets.

In 2015, Egypt and Greece held their first joint exercise Medusa 5.
