PM follows up ports’ securing procedures

Prime Minister  Moustafa Madbouly stressed on the government’s keenness to regularly follow up the procedures taken to secure ports and crossing borders, in the light of their significant role in maintaining national security and combating goods smuggling.

This comes in a meeting held on Thursday 23/5/2019 in the presence of Supply Minister Ali Mselhi,  Planning minister Hala Al-saeed,  Tourism Minister Rania al Mashat,  Finance Minister Mohamed Mait,  Civil aviation Minister Youins Al-Masry,Communications Minister Amr Talaat,Trade Minister Amr Nassar,  Transport Minister Kamel al-Wazer,  Suez Canal institution Chairman Mohamab Mamish,and a number of concerned officials.

During the meeting,  Secretary-General of Egypt’s Cabinet Atef Abdul Fattah reviewed a report on the efforts exerted to secure land and seaports,  including X-ray devices for the detection of containers and bags,  surveillance cameras,  personnel inspection and metal detection gates.
