Egypt & Benin mull boosting joint cooperation

Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed El Assar discussed with the non-resident ambassador of the Republic of Benin in Cairo aspects of mutual cooperation.
During the meeting, Assar stressed his ministry's readiness to make all its technical and technological capabilities and expertise available for all African countries, including the Republic of Benin, as part of endeavors to consolidate ties with African countries and within the framework of Egypt's presidency of the African Union (AU), said a statement by the ministry on Tuesday11/6/2019.
The two sides asserted their keenness on boosting cooperation between the two countries' companies.
Meanwhile, the Beninese ambassador lauded the progress that Egypt has achieved in the field of military industries and national projects.
He also praised Egypt's role in cooperating with the African countries, mainly after assuming the AU presidency, a fact that he said enables his country to benefit from the technological and human expertise of the Military Production Ministry-affiliated companies in the military and civil fields.
