I would like to express, in the name of Egypt's government and people, our condolences over the victims of the hurricanes which have jolted their country recently, and confirm Egypt's support to all efforts that target reconstruction of the damaged areas. Meanwhile, I laud the effective measures taken by the Mozambican government to contain this disaster and alleviate its consequences.
Mr. President Filipe Nyusi's visit coincides with Egypt's presidency of the African Union. So, we look forward to enhancing our joint action for boosting security and stability, achieving development and prosperity and raising the level of the existing coordination between our countries.
Ladies and Gentlemen,

These talks tackled means of fostering the bilateral relations in the political, economic, military and security fields, in addition to several regional and international issues. We have affirmed our determination to push our relations to wider vistas through raising the rate of trade exchange, encouraging investments in the two countries and enhancing cooperation in building of capacities through the training programs provided by the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development.
We have also considered a number of agreements in political consultation, agriculture, food security and exempting holders of diplomatic passports from entry visas. We have agreed to reactivate the joint committee in the nearest time and hold the Egyptian – Mozambican Business Forum.
On the regional arena, we have agreed to jointly work and coordinate our anti- terrorism efforts and block its resources. Moreover, we call on all nations to exert more efforts to uproot it.
We have agreed to support our political consultation and coordination concerning the urgent African issues, consolidate peace and security and reach peaceful settlement and African solutions to the disputes in the continent within the framework of Egypt's presidency of African Union and Mozambique's membership to SADAC.
