President Andry Rajoelina of Madagascar on Tuesday July 9, 2019 expressed his great admiration for the extensive collection of ancient antiquities displayed at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo's Tahrir square.
This came while he was making a tour of the halls where the ancient monuments belonging to the Old and the New Kingdoms of Pharaonic Egypt, as well as the artifacts of Hatshepsut, Thutmose III and King Ramesses II were on display.
The Madagascan leader also took a stroll around the hall of King Tutankhamun and royal mummies and listened to an explanation about the museum's history and the invaluable ancient treasures it houses.
