Culture min. mourns film critic Youssef Sherif Rizqallah

Culture Minister Enas Abdel Dayem mourned veteran film critic Youssef Sherif Rizqallah who died on Friday at the age of 77.
In statements, the minister described Rizqallah as "the encyclopedia of world cinema" and "the spiritual father" of Nadi el-Cinema (Cine Club) TV program.
Rizqallah created "Cine Club" and "Oscar TV" programs for the official Egyptian television channel in 1975 and 1980 respectively.
He was the artistic secretary of the Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF) since 1987, then becoming the CIFF artistic director since 2000.
Rizqallah started his career in film criticism of Arabic and foreign films. He attended international film festivals and presented many cinema-related programs and TV shows.
Rizqallah penned down numerous articles that were published in different regional and international newspapers and magazines.
