El Saeed delivers a speech in High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development

Minister of Planning, Monitoring and Administrative Reform, Hala El Saeed delivered the national speech during her representation on Egypt in the High-Level Political Forum for Sustainable Development, which is held at UN headquarters in New York under the title “Empowering people and ensuring inclusiveness and equality”.
In her speech, the minister pointed out that the high-level political forum for sustainable development has become an international forum of great interest and broad participation of those concerned with the efforts to achieve sustainable development, either governments, private sector or civil society, as well as regional and international organizations. The voluntary participation of states in this global event is a good opportunity to review the progress performed at the national level realize sustainable development. She furthered to say that sharing experiences among countries in this international forum is quite fruitful resulting in mobilizing resources and potentialities and strengthen efforts to fulfill sustainable development.
She underlined the importance of international cooperation in achieving sustainable development, pointing out that there is a growing awareness of the need for coherence and integration of efforts and initiatives at all national, regional and international levels. In this context, Egypt is intensifying its efforts to achieve comprehensive and sustainable economic, social and environmental development, according to a comprehensive perspective defined by “Egypt Vision 2030” which was launched in February 2016 to represent the overall framework for the plans and programs of the interim work in the coming years.
