Chairman of the National Council for Human Rights (NCHR) Mokhles Qotb has stressed the importance of having a strong base of youth, on whom Egypt could depend to support the development process.
Speaking to MENA on the occasion of the International Youth Day, Qotb said on Monday 12/8/2019 that Egypt is paying big attention to youth, who now have the opportunity to contribute to all sectors.
He praised Egyptian youth, who are well aware of the current economic situation and are contributing to the sustainable development process in Egypt.
The International Youth Day is celebrated on August 12 every year. August 12 was first designated International Youth Day by the UN General Assembly in 1999, and serves as an annual celebration of the role of young women and men as essential partners in change, and an opportunity to raise awareness of challenges and problems facing the world’s youth.
The 2019 Theme of the International Youth Day is “Transforming education” which highlights efforts to make education more inclusive and accessible for all youth, including efforts by youth themselves.
