FM starts Eastern Europe tour

Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry on Sunday 13/10/2019 headed to Vienna at the start of his visit to several Eastern European countries, including Austria, Croatia, Lithuania and Latvia.
The visit came in line with Egypt's keenness to strengthen cooperation with more foreign countries.
Shoukry is to give a lecture on therelationship between Egypt's foreign policy and the UN in Austria in the presence of a group of Austria's senior officials and heads of international
organizations, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ahmed Hafez said.
After that, the minister will visitZagreb, where he will discuss with Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovićand Foreign Minister Gordan Grlić Radman several regional issues of commoninterest, the spokesperson noted.
The minister will lead the Egyptiandelegation to Egypt-Lithuania Business Council, during which a cooperationagreement in the agricultural sector is anticipated to be signed.
Shoukry will hold meetings with a group of Lithuania's senior officials, the spokesman said.
In Latvia, Shoukry will have ameeting with a galaxy of senior officials on means of promoting bilateral relations and issues of common interest.
