The African affairs committee of the House of Representatives, headed by Tarek Radwan, discussed on Tuesday 19/11/2019 with Ghanaian Ambassador to Egypt Winfred Nii ways of bolstering bilateral relations in several fields.
Nii said Ghana's president is expected to attend the 'Africa 2019' investment forum, set to be held in the New Administrative Capital this month.
Radwan affirmed the necessity of promoting cooperation in the investment field and supporting the parliamentary relations, adding Ghana is a pivotal African country for Egypt.
The ambassador lauded Egypt's role in helping Ghana to host the headquarters of the African Continental Free Trade Area, pointing out that a joint committee between the two countries would convene in 2020.
Accra seeks to make use of the Egyptian expertise in the field of oil and gas extraction and refining, he noted, calling on Egypt to contribute to establishing a conference hall in Ghana like the Sharm El Sheikh conference hall.
