Planning minister to head for London to attend UK-Africa Investment Summit 2020

Planning and Economic Development Minister Hala el Saeed will head Sunday Jan 19 for London to take part in the proceedings of UK-Africa Investment Summit 2020, which is held over three days with the participation of several governments and international foundations to enhance investment opportunities in Africa.
In a statement released on Sunday, the minister said the summit will contribute to creating several partnerships that could increase investment opportunities in Africa and provide proper jobs with the aim of achieving economic growth in line with Africa Agenda for 2063.
The statement also highlighted Africa's need for luring more foreign investments and activating the international trade movement so as to help achieve the UN objectives for sustainable development.
The minister is scheduled to attend a forum under the title of "Egypt as an Axis and Gateway for Trade and Investment in Africa" which is organized by the British Business Council along with attending round table session on projects of housing, transport and water.
The Summit is hosted by UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson and will bring together businesses, governments and international institutions to showcase and promote the breadth and quality of investment opportunities across Africa. The Summit will strengthen the UK’s partnership with African nations to build a secure and prosperous future for all our citizens. It will mobilise new and substantial investment to create jobs and boost mutual prosperity.
