On 24/11/2015: Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry has taken part in a seminar organized by Japan Institute for International Affairs and floated Egypt's vision regards the Middle East issues. A large number of Japanese politicians, journalists and intellectuals took part in the event. Shoukry reviewed the latest political and economic developments in Egypt and its role in realizing stability in the region, its fight against terrorism as well as the relations between Egypt and Japan.
On 8/6/2015: The prime minister met the visiting Deputy Chief of Japan's Central Bank for International Cooperation and his accompanying delegation. The meeting was attended by Minister of Investment and Japanese Ambassador in Cairo. The PM hailed development projects funded by Japan in Egypt, including Egypt-Japan University and the Grand Museum and Hospital Abu Rish of Pediatrics. The PM hoped more Japanese firms would do businesses in Egypt, including in the new Suez Canal project.
