Up to 15 terrorists were killed in a firefight with army personnel in North Sinai on Friday 14/10/2016. Clashes erupted after an armed group attacked a military checkpoint in North Sinai earlier in the day.

Also, 12 servicemen were killed and six others injured in the attack. The area is being combed in search of other takfiri elements. 

The Armed Forces stated that such heinous acts will not prevent Egypt's army from protecting the Egyptian people.
