New Investment Law Offers Businessmen Great Guarantees, Incentives: Minister

Investment and International Cooperation Minister Sahar Nasr said that the parliament is planned to discuss the new investment law on Tuesday 2/5/2017.
In statements on Monday 1/5/2016, the Minister added that the parliament’s economic committee has exerted great efforts to amend the bill in cooperation with other parliamentary committees.
The new investment law serves the businessmen, provides them with guarantees and incentives helps achieve economic growth and gives attention to social dimensions, transparency and governance, the minister underlined.
The government and parliament aim to boost the investment and economy in Egypt, she said.
The new law also aims to facilitate measures for the investors as well as solving disputes as soon as possible, she further said.
The law stipulates that the president heads the Supreme Council for Investment, she said, adding that the council is planned to work on taking all measures required to enhance the investment atmosphere.
