Al Rawda Terrorist Attack

On Friday 24/11/2017, a terrorist attack targeted al Rawda mosque in Bir al Abd of North Sinai during Friday prayers, leaving 235 persons dead and scores others wounded .

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi issued directives to set up a memorial for the victims who lost their lives in al Rawda mosque terrorist attack, official sources said on Saturday.

Sisi offered condolences to the Egyptian people and the families of the victims. He wished the injured a speedy recovery  .

He said that a state of mourning has been announced after this heinous attack which aims to "break our morale and will and to put into doubt our ability  ."

These terrorist acts will increase our strength to fight terrorism, said the president in his speech to the nation .

November 24, The State Information Service (SIS), as it was shocked by the size and nature of the horrible barbaric crime committed by the terrorists in Al-Rawda Mosque in the North Sinai city of Arish, offers its deep condolences to the families of the killed and the injured as well as all the Egyptian citizens inside and outside Egypt. November 24, The United Nations Children's Fund  condemned a deadly attack on Al Rawda mosque in North Sinai, leaving hundreds dead and injured, including children.

"Violent deaths of civilians and children must be stopped. Our deepest condolences go to all Egyptians and to the families of the victims. May their souls rest in peace and may their families find comfort at this difficult time, stated Bruno Maes, the UNICEF Representative in Egypt, in a press release.

Lebanese President Michel Aoun sent a cable to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to sternly deplore the heinous terrorist attack on Al Rawda mosque in North Sinai that left scores dead and wounded, the Lebanese news agency reported.
