Greece deplores Helwan church attack

The Greek Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned a heinous terrorist attack on Mar Mina Church in Helwan district in southern Cairo on Friday 29/12/2017.
In a statement released on Sunday 31/12/2017, the Greek Foreign Ministry expressed its regret over the cowardly attack, which comes as part of a series of similar acts against religious communities in the Middle East and North Africa.
Also, the Foreign Ministry showed solidarity with the Egyptian people, offering the Greek government’s condolences to its Egyptian counterpart and to the families of the victims, the statement added.
Moreover, the Foreign Ministry wished speedy recovery for the wounded, the statement read.
