Alexandria Terrorist Blast

- Interior Ministry announced on Saturday 24/3/2018  that a conscript were killed and another four was injured due to the explosion that took place in Rushdy district in Alexandria, which targeted the convoy of Alexandria security director.

- Health Ministry immediately announced after the incident the transfer of the death and injured with seven equipped ambulances to Moustafa Kamel Hospital.

- Prosecutor General counselor Nabil Sadek has entrusted the Supreme State Security Prosecution with starting investigations into the terrorist bombing which targeted the convoy of Alexandria security director and several people dead and wounded.

- Interior Minister Magdy Abdel Ghaffar inspected the scene of the terrorist assault. He also met with top security officials in the city. The minister gave directives to work on uncovering the circumstances of the accident and its perpetrators. He offered his sincere condolences to the families of the victims.

- In a statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation said that the UAE strongly condemns this cowardly and criminal act of terrorism aimed at undermining the security and stability of Egypt, adding the attack is contrary to all religious and humanitarian values and principles.

- Kuwait's Emir Sheikh Sabah al Ahmad al Jaber al Sabah sent a cable to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi expressing condemnation of the terrorist blast that occurred in the Mediterranean city of Alexandria. The Emir denounced the terrorist operation that contradicts with all covenants and humanitarian values. He expressed support for Egypt regarding any measures it opts to take to safeguard its security and stability.
