Friday، 13 April 2018 - 11:12 AM

In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday, 12 April 2018, the Arab Republic of Egypt strongly condemned the Houthi missile attack which targeted several Saudi cities including the capital Riyadh on Wednesday night, and was successfully intercepted and destroyed by the Saudi Royal Air Defense before it landed in civilian populated areas. Egypt affirmed that it stands in solidarity with the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia against those attempting to destabilize its security or threaten peace and stability in its territories, as well as its full support for the Kingdom in countering brutal terrorism.

The statement stressed Egypt's steadfast stance in support of the stability and sovereignty of Arab countries against any sabotage or terrorist attempts, pointing out that such actions targeting the security and stability of the Kingdom and the region will not dent the Arab coalition countries’ resilience and determination to restore legitimacy in Yemen and intensify counter-terrorism efforts.
