Sisi, Medvedev discuss cooperation, regional, int'l issues

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi had talks on Tuesday 16/10/2018 with Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev on the second day of his visit.

The talks took up regional and international issues of joint interest and means of boosting bilateral relations in the industrial, cultural and tourist domains along with increasing trade exchange.

President Sisi asserted that Russian investments have a big opportunity in Egypt.

He noted that they could also use the Egyptian market as a gateway to the African markets in light of the current Egyptian presidency of the African Union and the free trade agreements between Egypt and other African countries, said Egyptian Presidential Spokesman Ambassador Bassam Radi.

The Russian prime minister expressed appreciation for Egypt at the popular and official levels, added the spokesman.

He also lauded the economic reform program that was launched by the Egyptian government, said the spokesman.

The Russian premier hailed Egypt's efforts for establishing stability in the Middle East and fighting terrorism, added the spokesman.
