Dr. Ahmed Kamal Abul-Magd

He was an Islamic intellectual and a jurist. He was a pioneer in the fields of thought, politics and law since the sixties of the past century. He witnessed the Egyptian revolutions since July 23, 1952 until June 30, 2013.  He was well known for his tolerance, broadmindedness and abundance of intellectual and legal works where he provided the Arab and Islamic Library with many valuable works in several fields. Among them are "Dialogue.. not confrontation", "Contemporary Islamic vision" and "Studies in the Arab society".

  Birth:

Born in 1930 Assiut Governorate.

He received his LL.B. in 1952. Received a doctorate in law from the University of Cairo in 1960.

His death

The Egyptian thinker and former minister, Dr. Ahmed Kamal Abul-Magd died on Wednesday April 3, 2019 in Cairo at the age of 89. His loss was mourned by several public figures and Egyptian institutions.
