Electricity Minister Mohamed Shaker on Thursday 11/4/2019 discussed with Danish Energy Agency (DEA) Director General Kristoffer Böttzauw means of boosting cooperation in the domain of energy, particularly the renewable one.
This came on the fringe of minister Shaker's participation in the Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue (BETD) in Germany.
The minister underlined importance that Egypt attaches to expanding dependency on both the new and renewable energy sources, as well as the country's keenness on benefiting from the know-how of this field in Denmark, world's top country in dependency on renewable and new energy.
Shaker expressed Egypt's eagerness to foster cooperation with Denmark and capitalize on its expertise in the renewable energy domain with a view to achieving integration between the new and traditional energy sources.
Böttzauw, for his part, voiced his country's interest in boosting cooperation with Egypt in the fields of new and renewable energy, given the African country's distinguished capabilities and opportunities in this domain.
He also hailed the breakthrough achieved by Egypt recently in the energy domain.
