Meetings of the President of the Republic with government officials

    President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met on 4/8/2020 with Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Communications and Information Technology Dr. Amr Talaat, and Chairman of the Engineering Authority for the Armed Forces Major General Staff Harb Ihab El-Far. The meeting dealt with the various topics for developing the university education system, and the executive position of national projects in that sector.The president has directed the allocation of 100 free scholarships for the top high school graduates and top technical high school graduates to enroll and study in the new private and technological universities for the next academic year, and the executive position of the national projects in that sector.

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met on 5/8/2020 with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, Minister of State for Military Production, Major General Mohamed Morsi, and a number of senior officials.

The meeting dealt with following up the developments of a number of national projects for the Ministry of Agriculture, as well as the Sinai Development Project, where the President directed the expansion of these projects due to their nutritive , health and economic returns for citizens and the state.

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met on 6/8/2020 with, Prime Minister, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Dr. Amr Talaat, and Chairman of the Engineering Authority of the Armed Forces Major General Staff Harb Ihab El-Far.

The meeting witnessed the follow-up of the executive position of the technological infrastructure to digitize state agencies, efforts to raise the efficiency of human resources in this context, as well as the projects targeted by the Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications. Within this framework, The President directed the application of the highest international standards by using the latest technologies and technological devices in establishing communications and digitization projects.

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met on 8/10/2020 with Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Minister of Planning and Economic Development Dr. Hala Al-Saeed,, Minister of Finance, Dr. Mohamed Maait, and a number of senior officials. The meeting witnessed the Minister of Planning reviewing the activities of the National Investment Bank . Dr. Hala Al-Saeed presented the results of the work of the specialized committee that oversees the bank’s administrative and structural development plan. In this regard, the President directed continuing development of specialized studies and plans with a view to governance of and developing the bank and improving its performance.

President El-Sisi met on 8/12/2020 with the Prime Minister, Assistant to the President of the Republic for national and strategic projects, and a number of ministers and senior officials . The meeting dealt with following up plans to develop the organizational structure of the mineral wealth sector. Egypt aims to maximize the use of state resources, and explore mineral resources nationwide. During the meeting, the Minister of Planning reviewed the most important axes of the mining sector development strategy in light of Egypt's Vision 2030.

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met 8/13/2020 with the Prime Minister, Assistant President of the Republic for National and Strategic Projects Eng. Sherif Ismail, Engineer Tariq Al-Mulla, and the Ministers of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Finance, Trade and Industry.

The meeting witnessed the follow-up of the iron and steel industry system in Egypt. The President directed to continue efforts to provide a supportive environment for the heavy national industries sector, especially the iron and steel industry, for its vital role in the ongoing development process in all sectors throughout the Republic.

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met on 13/8/2020 with Prime Minister Dr. Mustafa Madbouly,, and Minister of Trade and Industry Nevin Jameh, and the meeting dealt with a review of developments in the establishment of industrial complexes in the various governorates of the Republic, in addition to efforts to promote heritage industries. The President directed to continue supporting the handicrafts, and heritage industries, within the framework of the plan to upgrade medium and small industries as one of the state's mechanisms to provide job opportunities and raise employment rates.

President El-Sisi met on 8/17/2020 with the Prime Minister, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, Dr. Assem Al-Jazzar and a number of senior officials. The meeting witnessed a review of the developments of the executive plan for the transition and automation of government agencies to the new administrative capital, as well as the executive position of the technological infrastructure in the administrative capital. The President directed that utmost importance should be given to qualifying workers and training government cadres to adopt modern scientific methods in management when the government moves to the new administrative capital.

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met on 8/18/2020 with the Economic Ministerial Group, in the presence of Prime Minister, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Governor of the Central Bank, Mr. Tariq Amer, and a number of ministers. The meeting dealt with reviewing economic performance indicators during the fiscal year 2019/2020. The President directed the state to pursue means of dealing that are as flexible as possible to achieve a balance between the measures imposed by the Coronavirus pandemic and the stability and cohesion of the economy, while fully ensuring the health and safety of citizens.

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met 8/19/2020 with the Commander of the Second Field Army, the President of the Engineering Authority for the Armed Forces, and the Head of the Financial Affairs Authority of the Armed Forces .. The President directed to continue to maintain competence and the highest levels of combat readiness and readiness to carry out any tasks entrusted to members of the armed forces to protect Egypt's national security, in light of the current challenges in the region, and the great capacity of the Egyptian Armed Forces in all branches, disciplines, and armament systems.

President El-Sisi met on 8/23/2020 with Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly,, and, Minister of Endowments Dr. Mohamed Mukhtar Jumaa. The meeting dealt with reviewing the efforts of the Ministry of Endowments in the field of advocacy, renewing religious discourse, translation, publishing, training and qualifying imams, in addition to following up the development of the Endowment Authority. The President also followed up the plans of the Ministry of Endowments in the field of investment and good management of the Endowments Authority’s funds.

 

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met on 8/24/2020 with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, and the ministers of Finance, Communications and Information Technology, and Justice .. The meeting witnessed follow-up of efforts to develop the litigation system and automate the Ministry of Justice services at the level of the Republic, including documentation in real estate registry offices in joint cooperation between the Ministries of Justice and Communications. The President directed the Engineering Authority for the Armed Forces to fully renew the compound of Al Galaa courts, restore it and raise its efficiency according to the highest standards and construction designs, in a manner that is commensurate with its importance and the number of the visitors.

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met 8/25/2020 with Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority, Osama Rabie. The meeting dealt with following up developments in the activities of the Suez Canal Authority and its various projects. The President directed the continuation of the authority’s projects within the framework of its strategy to develop the Suez Canal, its shipping course and all its facilities, in order to enhance the competitiveness and the unique position of the canal at the level of global trade movement. The meeting also witnessed a review of axes and projects to develop the shipping course of the Suez Canal.

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met 8/28/2020 with the Prime Minister, the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, the Minister of Defense and Military Production, the Governor of the Central Bank, the Head of General Intelligence, and a number of ministers.

  The meeting dealt with reviewing a number of issues, foremost of which is the electrical linkage with the countries of the regional neighborhood, trade and investment relations with the countries of the African Continent and ways to enhance them, in addition to following-up governmental efforts regarding dealing with building violations and infringements on the state’s lands, as well as raising the efficiency of the irrigation system at the level of the governorates of the Republic, as well as national efforts to restore tourism, and preparations currently underway for the start of the new academic year.

In this context, the President directed to continue to explore new areas of cooperation and future projects that would achieve the desired positive return within the framework of the common interest.

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met on 30/8/2020 with the Prime Minister, and, Chairman of the General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone Engineer Mohamed Yahya Zaki. The meeting dealt with reviewing the executive position of the Suez Canal Economic Zone activity, and following up the ongoing contracts with regard to the targeted investment sectors in industrial zones and ports. In this context, the President directed that the activity of industrial zones in the Suez Canal Economic Zone should focus on the localization of industry and give priority to the production of goods and products that are currently imported from abroad.

Field Tours of the President of the Republic

  During an inspection tour of the area in Alexandria,  President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi witnessed the preparation works for the first phase of the development and preparation stages planned for the Montazah area, which aims to restore to that area its previous era as a tourist and international historical park.

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on 16/8/2020 inaugurated the fourth phase of the third metro line and laid the foundation stone for the Adli Mansour Interchange Station, which is one of the major central stations to connect the new administrative capital with all the cities and governorates of the Republic.

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi inspected on 28/8/2020 a number of modern car models of major international and locally manufactured companies that were equipped to work with the natural gas card in preparation for putting them on the local market with facilities for purchase, within the framework of supporting the national project to equip vehicles and means of transport to work with natural gas energy.

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi inaugurated a group of national projects 8/29/2020 in Alexandria Governorate, including projects for the petroleum sector, as well as the Bashayer Al-Khair 2 housing project, the triple sewage treatment plant in Borg El Arab, and the Mahmoudia Development axis project.

The participation of the President of the Republic in international conferences

International Conference in Support of Lebanon

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi participated in a video conference on 9/8/2020 in the International Conference in Support of Lebanon, organized by France and the United Nations, with the participation of a group of heads of state and government.

The conference was held with the aim of mobilizing support by Lebanon's main international partners and coordinating emergency aid from the international community to face the repercussions of the Beirut port explosion on August 4, in order to support the Lebanese people.

During his speech, the President expressed his thanks and appreciation to French President Macron for the initiative to call for the convening of this conference, which is of great importance in light of the difficult circumstances facing sisterly Lebanon, calling on the international community to do whatever is possible to help Lebanon recover again by bypassing the devastating effects and the reconstruction of what was demolished.

The President also indicated that, in the wake of the painful Beirut bombing, Egypt began to offer a helping hand to the brothers in Lebanon ... reaffirming Egypt's support and its full solidarity with the Lebanese people and its full readiness to provide all forms of support through more necessary medical and relief assistance in this regard.

The President of the Republic receives foreign officials

   President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received on 20/8/2020, Commander of the Navy Lieutenant General Ahmed Khaled, along with owner and chairman of the global German Lorsen Company in the field of shipbuilding, frigates and destroyers Mr. Peter Lorsen,. The meeting witnessed discussions on cooperation frameworks between the Egyptian side and the German company that has deep experiences in the field of shipbuilding of various models, especially with regard to the transfer of shipbuilding technology in cooperation with the shipyards of the Navy and the companies of the Marine Industries Authority.

President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi received Secretary-General of the World Tourism Organization, Mr. Zurab Pololikashvili,in the presence of Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Dr. Khaled Al-Anani,. The President praised the continuous support provided by the World Tourism Organization to the tourism sector internationally and regionally, and its current efforts to restore tourism at the world level to its previous glamour before the spread of the Corona pandemic.

The president also explained the measures taken by the state to support the tourism sector, whether at the structural level through merging the ministries of tourism and antiquities, or at the level of tourism projects and destinations that have been completed or targeted.

President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi received on 30/8/2020,  CEO of the Italian oil company, Eni, Claudio Descalzi, in the presence of the Prime Minister, the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, in addition to a number of senior company officials. Italian Eni expresses his support for the company’s continued expansion in its investment activities in Egypt in the fields of exploration and production, taking into account its meticulous commitment to implementing its projects, directing to continue intensive cooperation with “Eni” and removing any obstacles that may face its business.

Foreign visits of the President of the Republic

Visit of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi to Amman

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi headed to the Jordanian capital Amman on 25/8/2020 to participate in the third summit between Egypt, Jordan and Iraq within the framework of the tripartite cooperation mechanism between the three countries, which launched its first round in Cairo in March 2019.

President El-Sisi met 8/26/2020 in the Jordanian capital, Amman, with His Majesty King Abdullah II Bin Al Hussein of Jordan, and the meeting witnessed ways to strengthen bilateral relations at various levels. The two leaders also reviewed the ongoing efforts to settle the existing crises in a number of countries in the region.

The meeting also witnessed a review of developments in the peace process in the Middle East, as well as joint efforts to combat terrorism to eradicate this phenomenon that threatens the region and the entire international community.

A tripartite summit was held in the Jordanian capital, Amman, between President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, the King of the Kingdom of Jordan, King Abdullah II, and the Prime Minister of Iraq, Mr. Mustafa Al-Kazemi .. The summit dealt with ways to strengthen tripartite cooperation in various fields between the three countries, especially those related to energy, electrical linkage and infrastructure, nutrition as well as consultation and coordination on developments in the political and security situations in the region, and efforts to combat terrorism. The three leaders also discussed aspects of strengthening economic, commercial and investment cooperation.

During the summit, the President affirmed Egypt's readiness to present its experience and expertise in all fields to its brothers in Jordan and Iraq, as well as to establish specific joint development projects, in addition to strengthening political and security cooperation tracks.

The official Spokesman added that the summit touched on the most prominent regional issues and files of common interest, as the President stressed the importance of concerted efforts to face the challenges that threaten stability and security in the region.

Telephone calls of the President of the Republic

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call from the Iraqi Prime Minister Mostafa Al-Kazemi on 1/8/2020, who offered his congratulations on the occasion of the blessed Eid Al-Adha, wishing Egypt and its people continued progress and prosperity. For his part, the President expressed his sincere gratitude for this fraternal gesture, wishing to Iraq and its brotherly people all the best and prosperity.

President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi on 13/8/2020 made a phone call to Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan,during which he expressed his congratulations for the historic peace step taken by the UAE, which would advance the peace process efforts and open prospects for stability in the Middle East region He praised what was done according to the agreement to stop Israel's decision to annex the Palestinian lands.
