Madbouli orders outlining emergency plan to face possible flooding in all governorates

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli asserted on Tuesday the necessity of preparing for the increase in the River Nile water levels in view of the heavy rainfall and flooding of the Nile Upstream countries.
This came during the premier's chairing of a meeting to follow up preparations for the flooding and rise in the River Nile levels. Minister of Electricity Mohamed Shaker, Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Mohamed Abdel Aati, Minister of Local Development Mahmoud Shaarawy and Minister of Housing Essam El Gazzar and Minister of Transport Kamel El Wazir and other concerned ministries attended the meeting.
The premier ordered securing all service facilities and outlining an emergency plan to immediately act in case water levels increased to high rates to avoid the flooding of any territories or houses. Meanwhile, Irrigation Minister Mohamed Abdel Aati submitted a report on the water storage behind the High Dam, asserting that the state is working on securing safe levels of water in the High Dam Lake in order to secure basic water needs and save enough quotas in front of the dam.
