Finance Minister Mohamed Maait said Friday 09/10/2020 that the government was strongly relying on the vital role of the financial controllers in the administrative bodies to reinforce the governance of the public revenue and expenditure system.
This should eventually help raising the efficiency of the financial performance, rationalizing the public spending, and optimizing the financial allocations, collecting the state’s dues, which would eventually achieve the country’s economic targets, Maait said following the inauguration of the second forum for knowledge in the Red Sea resort of Sharm el Sheikh.
The forum comes in implementation of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s directives to visualize Egypt Vision for 2030, the state's digital transformation plan, as well as the the Ministry of Finance's strategies that aimed at rationalizing public expenditure and maximizing revenues in order to achieve the sustainable development goals.
The forum works on sharing expertise among the financial controllers nationwide, in addition to floating suggestions, which could boost the skills and improve the efficiencies of the Finance Ministry’s employees in order to provide better service quality to citizens.
