Meetings of the President of the Republic with government officials
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met on 1/9/2020 with, Prime Minister, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Minister of Education and Technical Education Dr. Tariq Shawky,, and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar.
The meeting dealt with following up the developments of the completion of the 2019/2020 academic year, the results of university admission, as well as the current procedures for receiving the new academic year 2020/2021.
In this regard, the President directed the acceleration of the implementation of the comprehensive modernization project for the new education system in Egypt, with a focus on the educational dimension and the physical and health rehabilitation of students.
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met 9/1/2020 with the Prime Minister, , Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, and, Chairman of the Engineering Authority of the Armed Forces Major General Staff Harb Ihab El-Far.
The meeting dealt with developments in the implementation of the President's directives to establish 10 new private universities at the level of the governorates of the Republic.
The President has directed to provide the necessary financial resources to establish these universities according to the highest standards.
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met on 2/9/2020 with the Prime Minister, , Minister of Health and Population Dr. Hala Zayed, and a number of senior officials, and the meeting witnessed follow-up of efforts to combat the spread of the Corona virus, and preparations to face any possible second wave, in addition to the precautionary measures taken to receive the year New school.
The President directed that all necessary measures be taken, in coordination between the Ministry of Health and the various bodies, to provide the highest possible levels of insurance for students and those in charge of the educational system, to ensure their safety and the regularity of the academic process.
The President also directed to ensure the provision of all necessary medical needs and supplies to assist all workers in the health sector and assist them in carrying out their mission to the fullest.
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met on 6/9/2020 with the Prime Minister, and a number of ministers and senior officials, and the meeting witnessed the review of the strategic plan for the promotion of agricultural crops and agricultural production at the level of the Republic.
The president directed to maximize the preferential advantages enjoyed by the agricultural sector in Egypt, with the aim of achieving the maximum possible return from production, stressing on crystallizing national programs to provide the best solutions to the challenges facing the agricultural sector.
President El-Sisi met on 7/9/2020 with the Prime Minister, and a number of ministers and senior officials, and the meeting dealt with the follow-up of the national project to establish a "smart transportation system" on the road network and axes in the Republic.
The President directed the immediate start of establishing a smart transportation system in accordance with the highest international standards, with the aim of achieving the security and safety of citizens at the state level.
The meeting witnessed a review of the steps and stages of implementing the smart transportation system, which is carried out in cooperation and coordination between the various concerned authorities in the country.
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met on 8/9/2020 with the Prime Minister, Minister of Communications and Information Technology Dr. Amr Talaat, and a number of senior officials, and the meeting dealt with a review of the national project for the unified government communications network system, and the communications and information technology sector projects. The system of national networks supports the country's digitalization strategy, and takes into account the future development in increasing the volume of its use and information, in a way that ensures the sustainability of providing the best level of services to citizens.
The meeting also dealt with developments in raising the efficiency of post offices, and efforts to develop the Internet infrastructure.
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received 9/9/2020, , Commander of the Navy, admiral Ahmed Khaled along with, General Manager of the Belgian Demi Dredging Company Mr. Luc Lewis, and a number of senior company officials. The meeting dealt with the expansion and development project of Abu Qir Bay port comprehensively, as it was agreed with the "Demi" company, to carry out dredging work for the port. The President praised in this regard the professional reputation enjoyed by the Belgian company in this field.
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met on 10/9/2020 with Minister of State for Military Production Eng. Mohamed Ahmed Morsi,, , Commander of the Air Force Lieutenant General Mohamed Abbas Helmy, and a number of senior officials. The meeting witnessed a follow-up to the executive position of the "Future of Egypt" project, where the president was briefed on the stages of work in the axes of the project in the El Dabaa region. The President directed, in this regard, to strengthen coordination and cooperation between the various competent authorities to achieve the merit of the "Future of Egypt" project and implement it according to the highest standards.
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met on 12/9/2020 with, Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, and Advisor to the President of the Republic for Financial Affairs Major General Mohamed Amin, and the meeting dealt with following up the final preparations for the organization of the Handball World Cup for Men, which is scheduled to be hosted by Egypt in January 2021. The President directed that all capabilities be provided for the success of the tournament and for it to be a global sporting celebration on the land of Egypt.
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met on 13/9/2020 with the Prime Minister, and a number of ministers and senior officials, and the meeting dealt with following up the executive position of the development projects for North Sinai Governorate, the South Valley region, east of Owainat and Toshka.
The President directed that work should be carried out in an integrated manner among the concerned sectors within the framework of a comprehensive strategic approach that achieves the interest and goals of the state in increasing the productive agricultural area and building modern urban communities in North and Central Sinai and the South Valley.
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met on 20/9/2020 with the Prime Minister, , Minister of Planning and Economic Development Dr. Hala Al-Saeed, and, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities Dr. Assem Al-Jazzar.
The meeting dealt with reviewing projects to develop the northwestern coast of Egypt and the optimal use of its lands with the aim of maximizing the added value of the state's assets.
The President was also briefed on the developments in urban planning for a number of national projects at the level of the Republic, as he directed in this regard to coordinate between all concerned state agencies to maximize the unique global tourism potentials that characterize the region.
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met on 20/9/2020 with the Prime Minister, the Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, and a number of senior officials, and the meeting witnessed a review of the executive position of plans and efforts to develop slums and unsafe residential areas in the vicinity of Cairo Governorate.
During the meeting, the President directed that efforts be made to intensify the development of Historic Cairo to highlight its role as a cultural, civilizational and tourism center, in harmony and complementarity with the extension efforts in the new urban communities that are being implemented nationwide.
President El-Sisi met 9/22/2020 with the Prime Minister and Minister of Trade and Industry Nevin Jamea,, and the meeting dealt with following up the most important axes of the Ministry of Trade and Industry projects, especially efforts to deepen the local product to benefit from industrial complexes nationwide, as well as national programs to support exports. The president directed to facilitate contracting procedures for obtaining industrial complex units nationwide, including canceling and reducing fees for some contract clauses, with the aim of supporting young investors in the field of medium and small industries
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met on 24/9/2020 with the Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Dr. Mohamed Maait, and the meeting dealt with following up the financial performance indicators during July and August 2020, and the state's measures to meet the financial needs of different sectors in the context of dealing with the repercussions of the Corona virus.
In this context, the President directed to continue to closely follow and regularly study the situation regarding the economic repercussions of the Coronavirus, with the aim of ensuring the stability of financial policies, and preserving the safe economic path of the country.
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with the Prime Minister, the Ministers of Endowments, Water Resources and Irrigation, Finance, and Agriculture, and the meeting witnessed a "review of the executive position of Sinai development projects", especially with regard to land reclamation and cultivation projects. The president witnessed the executive steps to develop the southern valley of Toshka, where the President directed to accelerate projects to develop and rehabilitate the lowlands of the Toshka floodplain because of their effect on land reclamation in the area and benefiting from them.
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with the Prime Minister, and Minister of International Cooperation Dr. Rania Al-Mashat,, and the meeting dealt with following up the efforts of the Ministry of International Cooperation within the framework of the country's economic and development strategy aimed at maximizing cooperation with international development partners.
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met on 28/9/2020 with the Prime Minister, and, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade Dr. Ali Al-Moselhy, and the meeting witnessed a follow-up of the situation regarding the strategic stocks of basic food commodities during the next six months, and the government's efforts to provide them to citizens, as well as reviewing efforts to establish and raise Efficiency of strategic stores at the level of the Republic.
The President directed the Ministry of Supply to continue adopting a plan to enhance efforts to provide basic commodities and strategic reserves
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met 9/30/2020 with Adviser to the President of the Republic for Urban Planning Major General Amir Sayed Ahmed, and a number of senior government officials. The meeting dealt with following up the developments of the national network projects for new roads and axes in their various stages at the republic level. The meeting also dealt with reviewing the executive position of plans of social housing projects in Cairo.

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi made an inspection tour 4/9/2020 in East Cairo that included the construction sites for road projects, axes and bridges in the areas of Gisr El Suez, Heliopolis and Nasr City, where he directed to accelerate the implementation steps of those projects according to the highest engineering standards, and he was keen to stop For dialogue with workers and engineers at a number of these sites to follow up the progress of work
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi inaugurated the Egyptian-Japanese University of Science and Technology in Borg Al-Arab, Alexandria, on 9/16/2020.
President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi inaugurated the Egyptian Petroleum Refining Company in Mostorod which is one of the most important projects that have been implemented in the oil and energy sector with the latest global technology, as part of the country's strategy to develop and increase Egypt's refining capacities and production capabilities of petroleum products to secure market needs and to enhance the added value of Egypt's resources.
Egyptian participation in the 75th session of the United Nations General Assembly
The 75th session of the United Nations General Assembly was held virtually in New York City, United States of America, for the first time because of the Corona virus.
On Tuesday, 9/22/2020, the activities of the high-level part of the 2020 General Assembly session were opened by holding its meeting under the title: “75 Years: The Future We Want, the United Nations We Need”.
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi delivered Egypt's statement to the United Nations General Assembly via video conference .. In his statement, President El-Sisi touched on a number of regional and international issues, and said that Egypt, by virtue of its history, location and African, Arab, Islamic and Mediterranean affiliation, and as a founding member of the United Nations, has its vision of the approach To improve the performance and effectiveness of the international multilateral system, with a special focus on the United Nations.
The President of the Republic receives foreign officials
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received on 3/9/2020 the European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policies and Vice President of the European Commission“Joseph Borrell”. The meeting dealt with various aspects of cooperation and mutual dialogue between Egypt and the European Union in all political, economic and security fields, in addition to settlement efforts of the Libyan crisis, the situation in the eastern Mediterranean, efforts to combat terrorism, the peace process in the Middle East, and the issue of the Nahda Dam.
President Al-Sisi received Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain, Dr. Abdel-Latif Al-Zayani, in the presence of Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry. During the meeting, the President referred to the specificity of the Egyptian-Bahraini relations, which extend through decades of fruitful cooperation and close coordination between the two countries.
The meeting dealt with ways to strengthen bilateral relations at various levels, the latest developments in the regional situation and issues of common concern. The President emphasized in this regard that the Gulf security is attached to the Egyptian national security.
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received on 14/9/2020 Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Zohrab Manatsakyanian,in the presence of Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sameh Shoukry. During the meeting, the President affirmed Egypt's keenness to strengthen the mechanisms of joint cooperation between the two countries at various levels in order to achieve the common interests of the two friendly peoples, and the meeting witnessed an exchange of visions and views on regional files, including developments in Libya, Syria, Lebanon and the Palestinian issue and some issues of bilateral cooperation were also discussed in the context of increasing mutual investment opportunities and maximizing trade exchange.
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received on 9/17/2020, President of the World Jewish Congress, Ronald Lauder in the presence of, Chief of General Intelligence Abbas Kamel.
During the meeting, the President stressed the strategy of relations between Egypt and the United States, as well as the importance of strengthening the frameworks for mutual cooperation to develop these relations in all fields. The meeting dealt with the latest developments in the Middle East peace process, as well as some aspects of Egyptian-American relations.
President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi received, 9/19/2020, advisor to the President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo Jean Kabongo,, who delivered a message from President Tshisekedi, which included expressing the DRC's support for the determinants of the Egyptian stance towards dealing with the issue of the Nahda Dam, as well as the aspiration to develop bilateral relations with Egypt and to benefit from its experience in the field of infrastructure and major development projects.
For his part, the President expressed appreciation for the stance of the Democratic Republic of the Congo in support of Egypt regarding the Nile water issues
He affirmed Egypt's cherichment of the distinguished cooperation relations with the Democratic Republic of the Congo in various fields.
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received, on September 23, 2020, Advisor to the President of the Republic of South Sudan for Security Affairs Lieutenant General Tut Jalwak, who conveyed to the President a message from the President of the Republic of South Sudan, Salva Kiir, including an invitation to participate in the final signing ceremony of the peace agreement between the Sudanese transitional government and the Sudanese armed movements, which will be held in Juba in early October
The president asserted Egypt’s determination to reinforce bilateral cooperation and provide support for South Sudan in all fields especially the developmental. They also exchanged views on the developments of a number of regional issues on top of which are the Nile water and the developments of the Nahda Dam file.
President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi received, on 9/23/2020, , Speaker of the Libyan Parliament Aguila Saleh, and Commander of the Libyan National Army Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, in the presence of, Head of General Intelligence Abbas Kamel.
During the meeting, the President affirmed Egypt's steadfast stance in supporting the political solution to the Libyan crisis, away from foreign interference, and welcoming any positive steps that lead to stability, peace, construction and development. The president also welcomed the results of all international and regional meetings that were held during the last period that confirmed the establishment of peace and activation of the paths of a comprehensive political solution.
Telephone calls of the president
President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi received a phone call from the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on 2/9/2020, during which they discussed developments on the regional arena, and the President affirmed Egypt's support for any steps that would bring peace to the region in a manner that preserves the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and allows the establishment of their independent state, and provides Israeli security, appreciating the announcement of the Emirati-Israeli agreement under the auspices of the United States as a step in this direction.
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call from the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron 9/11/2020, and the call covered discussions on a number of files of common interest, exchanging views on the latest developments of the regional situation, as well as discussing ways to strengthen frameworks for bilateral cooperation on all levels.
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi telephoned 9/11/2020, King of Bahrain Sheikh Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, to congratulate on the historic peace step taken by sisterly Bahrain which will open new vistas for achieving peace and stability in the Middle East region, as well as a comprehensive settlement of the Palestinian issue.
The President received a phone call from, President of the European Council Charles Michel on 9/17/2020, and the contact dealt with a number of files and issues of common interest between Egypt and the European Union, chiefly ways to enhance mutual relations at all levels, and coordination efforts on the most important regional files, especially in light of the imminent holding of the European Union summit this month. The call also dealt with reviewing various aspects of the institutional relationship between Egypt and the European Union.
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call on 9/22/2020 from Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. During the call, some issues of bilateral cooperation relations between the two brotherly countries and ways to strengthen them were reviewed, and prospects for further developing this cooperation in a way that serves the common interests of the two countries and peoples.
Views were also exchanged on developments of regional and international issues of common concern.
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call from the British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, and the contact discussed views on the developments of a number of international and regional files, foremost of which is the situation in Libya, where the President affirmed Egypt's steadfast strategic stance towards the Libyan crisis aimed at restoring stability and security.
The contact also touched on the issue of the Nahda Dam, as well as some issues related to bilateral relations, especially on the security, military, commercial and tourism levels.
