UK ambassador hails British, Egyptian ties

British Ambassador to Egypt Geoffrey Adams praised Wednesday 28/10/2020 the deep-rooted ties binding London and Cairo, noting that Britain is the largest trade partner to Egypt.
Adams’s remarks came during his meeting with Alexandria’s governor Mohamed Sherif, where they discussed reinforcing the ties between the two countries.
He stressed that the British embassy was keen on boosting relations, sharing expertise, boosting trade and investment exchange with the Egyptian city of Alexandria.
Concerning Education, Adams said that there was a fruitful cooperation between British universities and Alexandria University.
For his side, Sherif welcomed Adams during his first visit to Alexandria after the lockdown prompted by coronavirus pandemic outbreak and stressed that Alexandria governorate is also interested in boosting ties with UK in various fields.
