SIS operations room follows up foreign correspondents coverage of Parliament 2nd phase elections in 13 governorates

Chairman of the State Information Service Diaa Rashwan, gave his directives to the head of the Press Center for Foreign Correspondents to establish an operation room during the period of holding the House of Representatives elections at the headquarters of the Maspero Press Center.
The operation room will provide all facilities for the foreign correspondents participating in the coverage of the second phase of the elections for the House of Representatives in 13 governorates. About 570 correspondents, representing 166 media institutions, have been registered in the database of the National Elections Commission, and obtained permits for media coverage to follow up the electoral process from inside and outside the committees.
The operation room will be in charge of solving any problems may face foreign correspondents and journalists during their media coverage of the electoral committees in coordination with the National Elections Authority and all other concerned bodies throughout the election days.
Foreign correspondents receive their permits issued by the National Elections Authority from the press center and continue their field work. The press center staff will accompany the reporters to ensure that all obstacles that may face them are removed.
