Tuesday، 17 November 2020 - 02:15 PM

The Interior Ministry on Tuesday announced that all legal measures will be taken against 5,329 drivers of public transportation for not wearing face masks.
It added that 463 closure violations notices have been issued over the past 24 hours in implementation of the cabinet's decision to fine persons or facilities over violations of the precautionary measures against the coronavirus.
In a statement, the Interior Ministry said campaigns will be continued nationwide to follow up on the implementation of the cabinet decision and protect the safety of citizens.
Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly has ordered the stricter enforcement of the regulation, making face masks obligatory in public spaces and transportation modes.
Violators face fines of EGP 4,000 if they don't adhere to the regulation.
Madbouly's order came in tandem with the surge in coronavirus cases in Egypt.
In a cabinet meeting on Wednesday, Madbouly urged the continued adherence to preventive measures against the pandemic, mainly wearing face masks in public places and public transportation.
