Health min. reviews efforts exerted against coronavirus in cabinet meeting

Health Minister Hala Zayed reviewed the efforts exerted against coronavirus pandemic and the availability of the vaccine to the citizens.
This came during the cabinet meeting on Wednesday under Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli.
Zayed pointed out to the efforts exerted in several countries to face the third wave of the pandemic, adding that some countries imposed a partial curfew and a travel ban on a number of areas in addition to closing the unnecessary shops, nurseries and the schools of younger children and the disabled.
The Health Ministry increased work in the presidential initiative to follow up the cases of home isolated patients via well equipped movable healthcare teams, she said.
Zayed said that 20,000 citizens register daily on the website to get the vaccine, adding that the figure will reach 500,000 citizens by the end of March.
Five million doses of AstraZeneca vaccine will arrive in Egypt by the end of March, she said, adding that another three million doses will arrive in May.
Zayed said that, according to the spokeswoman of the World Health Organization, few countries suspended using Oxford AstraZeneca vaccine as a precaution.
