Sufficient coronavirus vaccines to be provided to this year's hajj season - health minister

Health Minister Hala el Zayed said on Monday that sufficient coronavirus vaccines will be provided to this year's hajj season and that the medical mission of hajj will be in constant coordination with all ministries in this regard.
Getting Covid 19 vaccine is a must to go into Saudi Arabia and perform hajj this year.
During a press conference with Chinese Ambassador here Liao Liqiang about batches of coronavirus vaccine Egypt has been receiving over the past period, Zayed said necessary vaccines will be provided to the tourism and banking sector to guarantee stability in the economic sector and avoid job loss.
With the arrival of more batches, the State will provide the other sectors with necessary vaccines, she added.
She said the vaccine will be available at more than 500 hospitals and 5,000 health units within the coming period.
She unveiled cooperation with a Chinese company to allow Egypt to conduct the third stage of clinical trials of coronavirus vaccine.
The Chinese ambassador said 17 Chinese vaccines have undergone clinical trials, adding that 60 countries are getting their Covid 19 vaccines from China.
He said China provides 69 developing nations with necessary vaccines as an assistance and provides 10 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines to global vaccine sharing scheme COVAX which is backed by the World Health Organization (WHO) and GAVI vaccine alliance.
Under this initiative, vaccines will be rolled out to low- and middle-income nations.
