South Sinai governor Khaled Foda met Friday with Gloria Walker in Sharm el Sheikh, as he welcomed the US pyramid lover and her family in the Red Sea resort city.
Walker is a 56-year-old cancer stricken American citizen, who flew from Philadelphia to Cairo to realize her lifelong dream of visiting the country's pyramids.
Foda wished speedy recovery for Walker and presented souvenirs to her and her family, and invited her to enjoy all the city tourist destinations.
Walker thanked Foda for his generous warmhearted gesture, saying she planned to return to Sharm el Sheikh in Christmas festivities to enjoy its warm sun and nature.
Walker was diagnosed with terminal cancer last year. Her son, Dustin Vitale, who made her dream known on social media, described the visit as his mother's sole wish and lifetime dream.
