Housing Minister Assem el Gazzar announced Sunday that operations to set up glass facades of a number of towers in the central business area of the New Capital are almost over.
Interior design operations are going on as well, Gazzar said, noting that handover of some of the towers will start by the end of this year.
The minister was speaking as he inspected construction work of a number of projects that are being implemented in the New Capital, including the central business area.
The central business area includes 20 towers, Gazzar said, putting the value of investments there at about three billion dollars. This area also houses the 400-meter Iconic Tower, which is the tallest in Africa, the minister added.
