Egyptian and Spanish naval forces conducted joint maritime exercises within the range of the Northern Fleet in the Mediterranean Sea.

The Egyptian frigate “Sijim Taba” and the Spanish frigate “Victoria” participated in the exercises.

The practice came as part of the Egyptian Armed Forces’ plan to upgrade the level of its training, and exchange military experience with partner countries.

The exercises included a set of various naval combat activities aimed at strengthening maritime security procedures in the Mediterranean Sea to assess surface and air threats.

The drills also aim to prepare the navies of Egypt, Spain, to work homogeneously within a joint force charged with the tasks of maintaining maritime security.
