Tourism and Antiquities Minister Khaled El Anany decided on Saturday 30/07/2022 to form a unit tasked with following up on the Egyptian archaeological sites listed on the UN World Heritage List.

The unit will monitor any circumstances or dangers which could threaten these sites to take the required measures to maintain them.

It will also prepare periodical reports about these sites' conditions.
