Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli stressed on Wednesday 21/9/2022 that the launch of the strategy represents the first step of its kind in Egypt.

The strategy - launched under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi - reflects the state's belief in the importance of the intellectual property mechanism in pushing forward the wheel of economic development.
The strategy also comes in line with the Egyptian government’s efforts in this regard, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the World Intellectual Property Organization’s (WIPO) development agenda, as well as the Egypt Vision 2030. 
It also aims to boost and promote digital transformation and provide registration services in IT methods.

The National Strategy for Intellectual Property goals:

1. Governance of institutional structure of Intellectual Property.

2. Pave the way for a legislative environment about Intellectual Property.

3. Pushing forward the wheel of economic development of Intellectual Property.

4. Spread societal awareness about the importance of Intellectual Property.
