Minister of International Cooperation Rania el Mashat has discussed with French Ambassador in Cairo Marc Baréty means of promoting economic cooperation between Egypt and France.

The meeting was attended by Director of the French Development Agency's Cairo Office Clémence Vidal De La Blache.

The meeting tackled preparations for the 2022 UN climate conference, COP27, which will be held in Sharm El Sheikh in November, as well as the economic conference scheduled to be held later this month and the third summit for finance in common.

Mashat shared potential opportunities for cooperation within the “NWFE Program”, which covers a list of green government projects in energy, food and water.

For his part, Baréty stressed his country's keenness to include the climate component in the projects financed by the French side in Egypt.

He noted that his country also seeks to participate in the NWFE program and stimulate the private sector through development funds secured by the French Development Agency.
