Rehabilitation and lining of canals and waterways in different governorates

Project Objectives:

Preserving the canal sectors and protecting bridges, which raises the efficiency of water transmission and distribution, improves its quality, and reaches farmers at the required times and contributes to increasing agricultural productivity and improving the environmental and health situation, at a cost of EGP 1.6 billion during the period from 2014 to 2020 .

The rehabilitation and lining of canals and waterways with a length of 1692.86 km has been completed in the governorates of Sharqia, Fayoum, Minya, Alexandria, Dakahlia, Kafr El-Sheikh, Gharbia, Ismailia and Beheira.

Rehabilitation of the Bahr Al-Mallah Canal and its branches in Gharbia, lining and cladding stones on some canals in Kafr El-Sheikh.

Establishing a protective area on the Revolution Canal km 1.25 in Nubaria.

Rehabilitation of the casserole spillway and the sea angle spillway on the marine wind.

Rehabilitation of the retaining wall on the right mainland in Lahun and the construction of retaining walls on the Bouhia Canal and the Upper Shon Canal.

Rehabilitation of the bridges of the Mahmoudia Canal in different places and the rehabilitation of the Ismailia Canal from km 125,700 to km 126,500 and Port Said Canal from mouth to km 1,750 .

Feeding the Balashna Canal and the Gulf from parcel 7 down east of Kafr El-Sheikh.

Strengthening a mixing station on Al-Atamir Bank K1 Kom Ombo Engineering (Aswan) and constructing retaining walls with Fayoum irrigation engineering.

Metal curtains were supplied and hammered on the Port Said Canal from 11,500 km to 11,700 km with a length of 200 meters on the left mainland, lining and constructing retaining walls in Sharqia, Kafr El-Sheikh and Beheira.

Covering weak distances with rubble from the bridge of the Al-Sarraniya canal, replacing and renewing the gates, the mouths of canals and minor works in the lake.
